Title: Business Development Manager – Middle East & Africa (UK Based)

 

Location: South UK (Permanent Position: remote role)

-          Regular international travel required (expected UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, North Africa)

 

Territory:

-          Middle East & Africa (with some European activity)

 

Target Customers & Partners:

-          Telecom Carriers

-          Value-Added Resellers (VARs)

-          Systems Integrators

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to lead sales and strategic growth across the Middle East & Africa region.

 

This role will build on existing reseller and integration partnerships while also engaging directly with telecom carriers. The selected candidate will own and drive the regional engagement strategy, serving as the primary sales and business development contact.

 

Revenue will be generated through:

-          Direct sales (approximately 33%)

-          Sales via existing distributors (approximately 33%)

-          Sales via new distributor partnerships (approximately 33%)

 

The primary focus is on test & measurement solutions for:

-          Cellular RAN network optimization

-          Benchmarking & performance testing

-          New technology deployment

-          Pre-production validation for labs & field teams

 

Key Responsibilities:

-          Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth in the region

-          Identify, pursue, and close opportunities with network operators, infrastructure vendors, and engineering services firms

-          Build and expand relationships with new and existing distributors

-          Drive lead generation and business pipeline growth

-          Provide accurate sales forecasting and maintain strong internal communication

-          Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings

-          Strengthen relationships with the French-speaking Africa reseller (occasional travel)

-          Potential to manage additional European accounts as the role evolves

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

-          We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated sales professional with a strong technical understanding of RAN and network testing solutions.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

-          2-5 years of Business Development/Sales experience (within 4-5 years of relevant industry experience)

-          Hunter mentality – proactive, energetic, and eager to drive new business

-          Strong forecasting and communication skills, comfortable in a small UK team (approximately 10 people)

-          Experience in RAN technology and knowledge of the operator/infrastructure vendor ecosystem

-          Familiarity with Middle East telecom operators & vendors (e.g., Nokia, Ericsson)

-          Willingness to travel (Middle East: approximately 5 days per month; occasional travel to Africa & Europe)

 

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

-          Channel management experience

-          Cultural adaptability – experience working with diverse global teams

-          Language skills (Arabic, French, Spanish, or others)

-          Valid travel rights to the region
